Please keep up the great work! Considering the amount of time that my son spends with his computer or television and his inability to initiate social attachments i.e. friends, I'd like to let you know how valuable it is to both of us to have a place to go for unpressured social contact, which your social skills group provides. It may seem like a small percentage of his week, but I believe it gives him another perspective of himself in relation to other people apart from myself, his doctors and his teachers at school. While we have a function in his life, the F.A.C.T. group is just for pleasure, and he very much looks forward to it, and for many it is the ONLY resource like this that is available to us.

I love coming to FACT because I can bring all my kids. My daughter was tired of “waiting room syndrome” and they have made friends. Everyone is really nice and we have fun and shared our ups and downs. I feel “comfy” here.

FACT has offered support and information for us as parents. It has given our son opportunities for experiences easily accessible for typical children, especially summer movie camp. After the first year, our son decided that he wanted to go every year.

Our weekly Group is a safe place to bring our tears and triumphs without fear of judgement or blame. We never lack topics to discuss! In the meantime, our children have a successful playdate with their buddies in a safe accepting environment.

I am a mother of 7 year old boy who was labeled with PDD (NOS) by Regional Center, denying services for him. I had no where to turn, and felt desperate to
get some help or assitance. I decided to contact Linda Andron after reading her book and one of my friend's referring her to me as well. I was invited to join the group to see if this was a place that would fit for my child. Since the fall of 2004, I have been a FACT addict! Both my son and I look forward to attending the group and session. There is no other place I know of that facilitates parents sitting together, exchanging and learning from each other. Linda is a great moderator. The staff works so well the kids and of course we, the parents, get so much out of our one hour session. FACT has made a difference in my life!

I was quite skeptical of what RDI could accomplish, but after several months we can definitely see a difference. My child has become less controlling and more flexible in his thinking. We're now able to do everyday activities without a constant power struggle.
