Our Autism education program is a panel of six young adults with Autism and Aspergers.

They are unique individuals each with their own story. They share about their personal journey and how they have navigated through their life up to today and share their success, challenges and the interventions or lack of interventions that helped support the amazing young adults that they are today.

This group of individuals are each other’s peers as well as their friends. They have grown up together and demonstrate and talk about how they break all the stereotypes of Autism and aspergers. They are supportive and understanding of each other. They are funny, sarcastic (appropriately) and do pick up on most social cues.

They are the real face of Autism and diversity. The feedback from those who have heard there presentation is phenomenal. They give an eye opening look of the challenges they face and how society can become more educated and tolerant. They are creating a more supportive society by realizing we are all individuals who are similar in many ways.

For new parents they give hope and talk about the self respect they have for themselves and how they do not need nor want a cure. They talk about how their parents were incredibly accepting and supportive and what tools and interventions they participated in that helped them become who they are and the different challenges and behaviors they have worked through.

For the media they are incredible and share an important powerful and realistic message that will educate viewers and show the different levels and the different faces of Autism. “When you meet one Autistic person you have met one Autistic person”.
