The RDI Scholarship fund is a nonprofit fund established to enable families to practice the Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) lifestyle. Developed by Dr. Steven Gutstein and Dr. Rachelle Sheely, RDI seeks to enable children and adults on the autistic spectrum to reach their maximum potential by addressing development of abilities identified as the core deficits of autism.
Although RDI is practiced by the parents and families of the autistic individual, significant expenses can be incurred through utilization of Certified RDI Consultants and in obtaining training courses and materials. The mission of the RDI Scholarship Fund is to raise and disperse grants to assist families incurring these expenses.
Focus on All-Child Therapies (FACT) is a not for profit agency (501C3) which serves the needs of families of children on the autism spectrum, providing family support groups, family community outings, summer camp, support in school and RDI. FACT s board has generously agreed to administer the RDI scholarship fund, with the assistance of an advisory council to be made up of parents and consultants.
Oceans of Emotions, a company producing products to help children and adults on the spectrum get in touch with their emotions, has generously offered to donate 10% of their sales. These products are wonderful for use with your children and also as gifts for teachers. Please go to their website at www.oceansofemotions.com to order.
