We are all very disappointed  that we did not get sufficient enrollment for the Courage sleep away camp this summer in Malibu. However enrollment is still open for our day camps.

I Am Who I Am That’s a FACT
- Summer Day Camps

Come Join us this Summer for an Amazing Adventure where you will develop essential Life Skills, receive Mobility Training and all the elements of Executive Functioning.  This camp is designed to allow kids of all ages to explore the many dynamics of Friendship, Navigating the Community, Conflict Resolution, Peer Pressure, Bullying and handling their Emotions through fun creative ways.

Skills Developed:   Character Building, Problem Solving, Mobility Training (Walking and Bus Fieldtrips), Cooperation, Team Work, Self Confidence, All Elements of Executive Functioning, Organization and Time Management.

Ages: 12-18
Location: Home Base is FACT Office in Westwood
Times: 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday
Full Week Session: $225

Daily Rate: $50/day
Half Day Rate: $25/day (AM or PM)

Week ONE :  “Top CHEF”  June 28-July 2 and Aug 2-6 
This week is chock full O’ fun!  Activities include: Yoga, Meditation, Community Service, Identify That Food, Working in teams to come up with a meal, Field Trip to Local Market, Purchasing Food, Cooking in the FACT Kitchen, Critique’s Table (constructively critiquing each teams meal), Plant Planter Boxes, Create Recipes For Friendship, Field Trip To California Pizza Kitchen for kitchen tour and pizza making, Field Trip to Local Farmers Market. Week Two:  “Amazing Race” July 5-July 9 and Aug 9-13  
Get ready for a GREAT Adventure!  Activities include: Yoga, Meditation, Community Service, Scavenger Hunts throughout Westwood and UCLA, with Pit Stops at Borders Bookstore, Sculpture Garden at UCLA,  Lunch in Westwood, Challenge Stops (Ice Breakers, Team Builders), Obstacle Course, Water Relays, Field Trip to The Self Realization Fellowship. Week Three: “Survivor” July 12- July 16 and Aug 16-20 
“Survive” the challenges of life…FACT style!  Activities include: Yoga, Meditation, Community Service, Crazy Food Challenge, Name you Team, Developing Immunity Idles, Team Murals, Creating Totems to Live By, Paint a Pot, Planting a Tree, CAMP OUT! Fieldtrip to Museum of Tolerance, Ropes Course. Register online..

Week Four:  “Lights, Camera, Action”  July 19- July 23 and Aug 23-27   
Get ready for a Week at the IMPROV!  Activities Include: Yoga, Meditation, Community Service, Dance Off, Life Skills Skits, Song Writing, Character Development, “Let’s Do The Twist”, Field Trip to UCLA Planetarium, Field Trip To Local Dance Studio, “Directors Guild”

Campers will be creating an E-Recycling program where they will go around to local businesses and collect their E-Recycling and take it to a local dispensary.  This will earn middle and high school students community service hours.  FACT plans on continuing the E-Recycling program after summer, meeting once or twice a month on Saturdays.  The development and implementation of the E-Recycling program will be created by the campers/clubmembers and will look great on college applications.
